Accelerators) are circular and transparent, with a
50 micron diameter and a large refraction index.
They function by
capturing the light beam
and
starting a
multiplying process
when penetrating the
material, subdividing the
initial beam into thousands
of small light rays
given the material’s large
refraction index and geometric shape.
At the start of the whitening process; when the
microsphere is mixed with the gel and applied on
the tooth’s surface,
the photo-activating light’s
incident beam penetrates the gel-microsphere mix
.
Immediately, the light rays produced span a greater
area
and produce an amplified effect
accelerating
the photo-activated process
of the gel.
